Sandcastles Season 2

It might have been a wet summer in most parts but I've gotta say 'I'm lovin it'.

Not too hot, incredible storms and the water here in Bondi is still 23º, just got to ignore a bit of storm water in the mix.

But down to business. I'm currently trying to find some great houses for this years series. If you know of any outstanding beach houses hidden away, anywhere on the Australian coast, or any thoughts on what you'd like to see in the show, please drop me a line at: pete@sandcastlestv.com

This time of year a lot of architects are submitting their latest creations to the state chapters of the Australian institute of Architects. One of my favourite things is checking out all the presentations and picking the best to feature on the show.

We hope to be filming in April for the 2012 series of Sandcastles which will come to you later in the year. I'm also putting together a coffee table book that will have some amazing pictures of all the houses we featured in last years series. Anyone interested in how architects come up with their ideas and how they work through the design process will find the book fascinating.
